SEKAI STATION

After the historic collaboration with Spoon Indonesia’s Silver Station, Cody Sekaiwalker and KD SEKAI were inspired to build a mini radio station for the community. The visions and ways of operation would however be different. Silver Station operated like a real radio station (having their own theme songs, openings, interviews and their own app and podcasts, they had 27 DJs scheduled everyday). Since we didn’t have enough people, power, and time to do all that, Sekai Station made it effortless and open for potential streamers on Spoon. The goal was to hunt down potential streamers (big or small streamers) who would join the team and stream for the WOT community. This way, streamers would get more exposure, more listeners, and they would help lessen the workload of KD streaming for the whole week of monthsary. KD SEKAI used to stream for 7 days every week of the 9th to celebrate the monthly anniversary of the community, but since Sekai Station was built, the team helped and divided the schedule into 7 streamers instead of one for 7 days.

The first seven DJs were called the “Seven Ninja Swordsmen”, which again referenced Naruto. (KD SEKAI, Cody Sekaiwalker, Kris (Harmonist Kris/BornToSing01), GG Nappa,  AL, Kristen (WYNND), and former Kaiju, Ray Kitsune). After the first Seven DJs, it was followed by more streamers like Sammy Xan, Ary Chlumsky (former Kaiju), Alexis, Jess (former Choice DJ), Waddlestrawberry, and Dante Hatake.

Sekai Station had their own private category in the WOT server where they had access to uniform stream backgrounds and where they could do meetings in VC and share ideas on their own text channel, but since the community went on a hiatus for the whole year of 2021, the category was deleted and the team stopped operating. This year, Sekai Station will be back with changes to the way it once operated.

Welcome to the new Sekai Station, “AMANOGAWA STATION”!

Amanogawa is called the Milky Way known as the "heavenly river" in Japanese. Amanogawa is a Japanese river that runs through Hirakata, near Osaka, and also there’s a cherry blossom tree with the same name. The main idea of the Amanogawa Station is to explore outside of the community (more public operations) like going out of the planet Earth and to explore the universe and to make even more pleasurable things with a few DJs (podcast, audiobooks, and streaming to multiple platforms at the same time at least once a month). Sekai Station will be born again as a fresh and completely new station that signifies the cherry blossom.
